This week in wotv (40)

Another packed week with a relatively easy box run in north cotton farm. Check kinchat for runs and on Monday for the box intro night.

Tuesday and Thursday are our pvmp nights with creeps first followed by creeps.

Wednesday is old raid night, feeling like a run in the rift, mirkwood or orthanc join us. On Tuesday unified will have a lvl 40-60 instance night.

On Friday a new speed run, Sambrog. Will you set the record? Learn some new tricks? The scenario is tweaked a little to Sambrog solo or duo at 10 levels below your own.

Sunday squirle will host a round of Roving threats.

Msa is doing Some T 2 onotheir normal evenings and times.

Draigoch T2 has been moved to next week by the organiser.

April update – Anniversary and events

Spring has started and the spring festival has ended. Next up are the anniversary events, developers letters and our own anniversary.  This means it’s time to party, enjoy the sun and more old-school events on top of our normal activities.  As usual, details follow.

Cap group level 60 starts 18th of april
Lotro 11th year anniversary 19th of april
Kin lottery weekend  27-29 th april
Kinauction weekend 27-29 th april
Anniversary festival support (porting, instances, raids, guides) ongoing.
Warsteed training and racing events

For abyss of modrath T2, we’ll keep on the same path with our allied kins from MSA. Interested? Ask an officer for the channel details.
Unified channel events will also pick up with the anniversary and instance runs getting some much need love.

On a closing note, need help with something? Planning to run a box run or grabbing some deeds. Lets your kinnies know. Over the past few weeks we’ve cleared Tower of orthanc T2, grabbed plenty of deeds, scrolls and we’ve rebooted the cap-team cause we got people together that wanted to do these.

Cap group
During the spring/summer we’ll run our cap group again. This time we’ll start on level 60 and bring our characters around Moria, Lothlorien and anything else available to us at that level (range). Join us with a character at level 60 (xp disabler encouraged). And team up to retake 2009.

Anniversary lottery and weekend
We’ll join Lotro in their celebrations with our very own kin lottery and kin auction weekend. For a lottery ticket send 500 silver to Lottovalar. Or find some cheap bargains, cosmetics on the kin AH during the weekend. Quartervalar and consorts will post plenty of items for all to browse.

Anniversary support
The special anniversary events need all sorts of instances, travels and help across Middle-earth. We’ll host kin runs and porting nights over the weeks that the anniversary will be live. Since all tickets will go live at week 1. We’ll have to plan them as we go.

Warsteed races and training runs
Unified will host warsteed race and squirle will host research, information and training nights for anyone interested. Learn and teach the tricks of a great race and warsteed (bridle).

Upcoming events

We’ll have a more open and relaxed event schedule for the next month. Leaving room for more one-tim events and regular activities. Lots of people questing, doing Abyss with MSA or warsteed races with Unified. Finished Tower or Orthanc challenge with a kin group last week.

Ettenmoors and pvmp – focus on tuesday and friday
Request night – Focus on wednesday and 1 weekend day.
Casual/weekly night – Monday

Abyss of mordrath – MSA T2 tuesday and Saturday
Unified raid and races – Friday and Saturday

Lottery and lotro anniverary around 19th of April

Free range Crosser of the roads title run

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get the title Crosser of roads ofcourse. Its one of the longest activities in the game where you discover every deed in one go as the level 1 chicken you are in the session play. We’ll be hosting a Free range chicken run for the title. We’ll be using the guide posted below for our first run. Been a long time since we’ve been in these parts and the landscape has changed since then. But everyone is welcome to come along.

Time and date
Since its a 3-5 hour activity we’ll be hosting it on an afternoon to avoid timezones, dinners, raid and other activities. Our targeted starting time is 13:30-14:00 Cet on Saturday the 3rd of march.

Chickens and Protectors on teamspeak
This will be our first run since a few years. Protectors are welcome to join and chickens as well. But we’ll be using teamspeak as our main communication since SSG has disabled custom channels and world chat.

Guide

Lovely Lottery
During the kin gathering and party on the 17th of february we’ll have the live-drawing of our Lovely lottery. To enter the lottery get your tickets beforehand by sending 500 silver to the character Lottovalar.  During the evening we’ll host games, trivia, music and there is the opportunity to spar, be merry and have a nice time with your kinnies.

We love a good picture
What we also love is a good screenshot. A valentine screenshot competition is open till the 19th of february after which you get to vote for your favourites. There will be two prizes for each theme – a public vote and a jury (well me).
We’ll have 3 themes to enter

  1. I’d love to ….
  2. Lovely views
  3. 10 things i hate about ….

Each theme can have one entry per member with or without a caption. Upload your screenshot to the forum, facebook group or provide a 3rd party link to Bearlee ingame.

Project “I got 99 instances, but that dragon only counts as 1”

Over the next few weeks i’m going to run the entire Instance finder list. All 99 and Survival of barrow downs to record them for an article series and for the kin youtube channel. Ofcourse this is more fun with kinnies. And even better if it does double purpose. Want to run an instance? Got a special deed in one? Let me know cause i’m going there anyways.

Last night we did Dragnagh unleashed, fangorns edge, pits of isengard, foundry instances and the 6-man version of the pelagrir big battle. A quick tour of stoneheight and all Mordor resource instances. The list is still long so make your choice and free Middle earth 1 instance at a time.

This week 3 sep till 10 sep

The month of august is behind us and septembre is about to begin. We’re getting back in the flow of things. We’re still keeping the schedule a bit flexible, but the calendar is pretty filled up again. Check out this weeks full plans so far on the Event planner and sign up

Boxr run, creepnight, Deepning wall raid, request night + throne raid, chicken run and the kin lottery. And ofcourse everything you and your fellow kinnies want to do together.
